The Wilder fight will serve as the co-main event with Anthony Joshua fighting Otto Wallin. If

all goes according to plan, the card will set up an even bigger fight between Wilder and

Joshua on March 9, 2024, per boxing insider Dan Rafael. That will certainly give Wilder a

little added motivation against an opponent who is not as accomplished as himself. On the

other hand, Parker will look to play the role of spoiler and ruin the heavyweight superfight.

With Joshua on the card and a light heavyweight title fight between Dmitry Bivol and Lyndon

Arthur, there's plenty of competition for who is going to stand out. Here's a look at all the info

The Bronze Bomber was scheduled to face Anthohy Joshua, with whom he will share the bill in Riyadh, although he must first fight Parker, a former WBO champion.

Saturday's fight will mark the return to the ring for Wilder after more than a year out of action, as his last fight was in October 2022 when he defeated Robert Helenius by technical knockout.

With a record of 43-2-1, Wilder is a true knockout artist, with 42 wins claimed that way. The only fighter to survive his power was Tyson Fury in 2018, as highlighted by Sporting News.

Watch free live Stream 2023 Wilder vs Parker For his part, Joseph Parker has a 33-3-0 record and is coming off of winning all three of his fights in 2023.

In 2018, the former WBO heavyweight champion lost the belt to Anthony Joshua and in 2022, against Joe Joyce, saw a streak of six consecutive wins snapped.

His most recent fight was a win was by knockout in October against Simon Kean.

Heavyweight fight: Joseph Parker v Deontay Wilder. Where: Kingdom Arena, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. When: Sunday, December 24 (NZT). Coverage: Follow live updates on Stuff.

A lean Joseph Parker weighed in almost five pounds lighter than for his last fight as he seeks to upset the odds against Deontay Wilder in their blockbuster heavyweight clash in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night (Sunday NZT).

Parker (33-3, 23 KOs) is a big underdog against Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs), one of the hardest punching heavyweights in boxing history, and will need to be quick on his feet to avoid the American's lethal right hand and have a chance of securing a career-best victory at Riyadh's Kingdom Arena.

So it was no surprise to see the New Zealander had shed a bit of excess weight from his routine third round knockout of Canadian journeyman Simon Kean eight weeks ago in the same city.

The Day of Reckoning is officially upon us, with both main events locked in after Saturday’s weigh-in while Daniel Dubois and Jarrell Miller almost came to blows in a fiery moment.

The heavyweight scrap was already bound to deliver fireworks, with Dubois weighing in on Saturday at 239 pounds while Miller came in at 333 pounds — making for nearly a 100-pound difference between the pair.

Dubois may be significantly lighter but he is still the strong favourite to get the win on Sunday morning as he looks to rebound from a last-start defeat to unified heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk.

There have been few fights in heavyweight boxing this year as intriguing as Joseph Parker’s meeting with Deontay Wilder on the Day of Reckoning card in Saudi Arabia this weekend.

Deontay Wilder vs. Joseph Parker goes down on Sat., Dec. 23, live from the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The main card starts at 11 a.m. ET | 8 a.m. PT.

Ringwalks for Wilder vs. Parker are expected around 5:35 p.m. ET | 2:35 p.m PT.

Two former world champions looking to continue their return to the top. It’s a bout that Parker’s former trainer Kevin Barry believes will be revealing for both fighters after the pair have worked their way back from tough defeats.

For Parker (33-3; 23 KOs), the bout is a steep step up in competition; a return to elite-level opposition after a confidence-building run this year. Coming off a knockout loss to Joe Joyce late in 2022, bouts against Jack Massey (unanimous decision), Faiga Opelu (KO 1) and Simon Kean (KO 3) have allowed the Aucklander to showcase his power and speed to quickly add another three wins to his resume.

“Boxing is a funny game. The longevity of a fighter comes down to not the fights you win but the hard fights that you lose. I look at the Joe Joyce fight that Parker had, that was a real tough war. Joe Joyce was a big undefeated guy, great motor, but not the fastest guy in the world and he was able to catch Joe a few times,” Barry told the Herald.

Now, Wilder has two challenges ahead of him: Parker and (potentially) Anthony Joshua, who he has already agreed to fight early next year. Of course, that can only happen should the 38-year-old get through Parker, but the latter has something else in store for the former. The 31-year-old comes into this fight with three consecutive wins and says he is confident he can upset Wilder.

“Not taking anything away from Deontay Wilder and his team, but he’s had his time,” said Parker in an interview with James Regan of ESPN. “What is he 37, 38 years old? Everyone thinks that Wilder is the favorite, let them think that. Let them say what they want to say. It’s going to be a big party and I’m going to be there to spoil it.

“They’re trying to set up this massive fight, of course it’s going to be a massive fight, but when you count out the others that are involved, it could be your downfall.”

Aside from Dmitry Bivol vs. Lyndon Arthur and Jai Opetaia vs. Ellis Zorro, the ‘Day of Reckoning’ line-up features a handful of heavyweight fights including Daniel Dubois vs. Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic vs. Mark de Mori and Frank Sanchez vs. Junior Fa.

Joshua seems to have abandoned the big-hitting style that dominated his early professional career since going to war with Wladimir Klitschko in 2017, bizarrely trying to outbox the artist that is world champion Oleksandr Usyk in back-to-back defeats. But with a much-anticipated fight against Deontay Wilder – who fights Joseph Parker immediately before AJ takes to the squared circle – on the cards next year, Joshua must win convincingly.

Wallin is no mug. The 33-year-old Swede's only defeat as a professional came with a controversial September 2019 decision that went Tyson Fury's way despite many ringside believing the fight should have been stopped because of a horrible cut on the Gypsy King's forehead. Wallin picked up an impressive win against Murat Gassiev last time out in September and is a well-schooled southpaw, like Usyk, who hits hard.

Plenty will be looking if Joshua's work with temporary Ben Davison, who used to train Fury, will bring back the old barnstorming fighter. He needs a big win.

Below, we'll show you how to watch a Joshua vs Wallin live stream from anywhere, whether you are in the U.S. or traveling abroad. Plus, we've got a brief analysis of a stacked undercard that also include Deontay Wilder, Daniel Dubois, Jai Opetaia and Dmitry Bivol.
